Caol Ila 2005 Gordon & Macphail
Gordon & MacPhail already bottled Caol Ila with a finish on Hermitage barrels. At first this was done under the Private Collection label. From 2018 it will be under the label Connoisseurs Choice - Wood Finished. This version was distilled in 2005 and bottled on 25 March 2019. The first maturation took place on first- and refill bourbon barrels. The whisky was then crossed over to Hermitage casks for a one year finish. A total of 3708 bottles with a strength of 45% were bottled. Hermitage is one of the great wines from the northern Rhône region and is made from the syrah grape.
