Octomore 9.1 concerns a five-year-old whisky that, as the brand often shows, goes against traditions from the market. At Octomore, they firmly believe that whisky bottled at a young age can possess just as much complexity and character as an older whisky. Distilled in 2012, the whisky is matured in ex-whiskey casks made from American oak. Smell: smoke, oak and layers of sweetness. Flavour: soft, floral and nuts. Finish: long, smoky, syrupy and warming.
